Electric Wheelchair Maintenance Tips
First, the common sense of electric wheelchair maintenance
1. Use the manual brake to completely stop the rear wheel, and then fold the foot pedal. After the user sits down, lower the foot pedal and release the hand brake.
2. Make sure the arm can control the joystick freely, and make sure that the controller is adjusted to an appropriate position.
2. Anomalies and troubleshooting
1. When the power switch is pressed and the power indicator is off: check whether the power cord and the control cord are properly connected. If the contact is loose, check whether the battery is charged. Check whether the battery box fuse is disconnected and replace it.
2. After the power switch is activated, the indicator is displayed normally, but the electric wheelchair still cannot be started: Check whether the clutch is in the "on" position: When the clutch is disengaged, the clutch lever can be turned to both sides to 90o. Together.
3. When the car is running, the speed is not coordinated and when it is stopped: Check whether the tire pressure is sufficient. Check if the motor is overheating, noise or other abnormal phenomenon. Whether the power cord connector is loose. The controller is damaged, please send it back to the factory for repair.
4. When the brake is invalid: Check whether the clutch is engaged in the correct position. Check whether the controller "control lever" has rebounded normally to the middle position. The brake or clutch may be damaged. Please return to the factory for repair.
5. When charging fails:
5.1 Check whether the charger is adjusted to the proper range 230V / 115V, pay attention to match the input voltage
5.2 Please check whether the cooling fan of the charger is running normally and the fuse is normal.
5.3 Please check if the charger connector and the controller interface are in good contact.
5.4 Please extend the charging time. If it still cannot be fully charged, please replace the battery. The battery may be damaged or deteriorated, please replace it.
Third, maintenance and cleaning
1. Manual brake (safety device): It is often necessary to check whether the manual brake is adjusted normally. If the tire is worn, you can move the brake device to the proper position and adjust the distance between the brake arm and the tire. Note that when using manual braking, the wheels must be completely stationary. Adjust the tightness of the screws.
2. Tires: Always pay attention to whether the tire pressure is normal and try not to walk on corrosive roads. Otherwise it will affect the tire life.
3. Chair cover and backrest: Wash the backrest of the chair cover with warm water and diluted soapy water, and avoid storing the wheelchair in a humid place.
4. Lubrication and general maintenance: Lubricants should be often used to maintain the wheelchair, but do not use too much so as to avoid oil stains on the floor. Always check the screws and whether they are secure.
5. Please usually wipe the car body with a dry cloth to avoid placing the electric wheelchair in a damp place and avoid hitting the controller, especially the rocker; when carrying the electric wheelchair, please protect the controller strictly when the controller receives food If the beverage is contaminated, please clean it up immediately and avoid using detergents such as abrasive powder or alcohol.
